Hello and welcome to the March 2007 edition of the Storage Doctors from Bell Micro; a show designed to help you get up to speed on the latest in server and storage technologies, especially those that take advantage of Apple technologies.
This month's show covers the basics of storage area networks, or SANs. We discuss what they are, what hardware and software is involved, the advantages of a SAN as compared to other network topologies, and, of course, where and how to utilize a SAN. We conclude this month's broadcast with a discussion of Apple's Xsan software.
As always, the Storage Doctors welcome your comments and suggestions for future shows. Please drop us a line at assistance@bellmicro.com
