XJ 1100 series SAS/SATA JBOD

XJ 1100 series SAS/SATA JBOD enclosure is available in 1U, 2U and 3U form factor supporting conventional 3.5-inch or SFF 2.5-inch SAS/SATA drives.

For highest performance and reliability, systems can be configured with dual I/O modules and highly reliable SAS HDDs providing a 1,200 x 2 MB/sec speed and dual-port failover capability. An application for a clustering transaction server can apply the above scheme with the best throughput and reliability. Customers looking for performance and not requiring redundancy can employ a single I/O module with SAS drives without sacrificing performance and reliability. Applications such as HDD Video Editing can use pure SAS interface for on-line storage usage. For the lowest $/GB, customers can apply a single I/O module system installing large capacity SATA drives to achieve the best performance/cost investment. It is the best and most cost-effective near-line or backup storage available.

XN 1000 WSS series NAS with iSCSI target solution

Featuring Windows Storage Server 2003 R2, the XN 1000 WSS Series provides file server performance optimization and more efficient control access to local and remote storage. In addition, Single Instance Storage reduces disk space consumption: Index based full text search facilitates fast and effective search on network shares; Sharepoint services increase team productivity via document collaboration. File Server Resource Manager manages directory quotas, file screening, and storage report.

The system can be managed easily via a built-in interface, File Server Management Console, providing one place for files and printing management. A front LCD control panel provides status of the system and allows simple configuration. The XN 1000 WSS Series can be set up by an average user within 20 minutes. The XN 1000 WSS Series has more advanced features than traditional file servers, which allow users to consolidate data into a single system and alleviate the need for multiple client license fees.

High Availability - The XN 1000 WSS Series was designed to be fully redundant. The redundant components are hot swappable for easy maintenance without shutting down the system. The OS’s mirrored partition failover is also supported with failover BIOS and a watchdog timer. Depending on performance, capacity and fault tolerance, multiple volumes of RAID can be configured to suit higher redundancy needs.

Consolidation - The XN 1000 WSS Series provides heterogeneous platform support to allow data to be shared among Windows, UNIX/LINUX, Macintosh and Netware clients with multilingual support. Multiple file servers can be consolidated to reduce system complexity, which can significantly reduce support costs.

Performance - To serve data quickly over the network, the XN 1000 WSS Series features dual gigabit Ethernet ports with built-in failover and load balancing. A built-in PCI-X high speed bus reduces I/O bottlenecks. Depending on the system configuration, various caches can be tuned for best performance.

Scalability - The XN 1000 WSS Series is scalable to allow for growth of storage needs. An optional SCSI module provides a RAID array or JBOD expansion. A PCI-X expansion slot permits a fibre channel interface to utilize SAN capacity. Native iSCSI support also allows the server to connect to an IP storage pool.
