Graeme is Scottish, 47 years old, married with four children, and lives in London UK. Having read Physiology at Edinburgh University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Young in 1987, Graeme entered the IT industry a year later joining First Software, the leading UK distributor in 1988. This organisation evolved to become Frontline Distribution and then subsequently part of Computer 2000 and then Tech Data.
Prior to joining Bell Microproducts, Graeme was most employed by Tech Data Corporation, where he served as President of European and Middle East Operations. During his tenure he was responsible for their business expansion, multi-billion EU annual revenues, and had responsibility for over 5,000 employees.
During his tenure as President of Tech Data EMEA, Graeme was responsible for many developments including the acquisition of three companies, the implementation of major restructuring programs, the development of a centralized purchasing organization, and the expansion of the company’s e-commerce capabilities. He has been employed in IT distribution for 15 years. While with Tech Data, and companies acquired by Tech Data, he held various positions including Regional Director of the Northern Region, Managing Director of the UK and Ireland, and Finance Director.
Graeme joined Bell Microproducts in April 2004 as President of Bell Microproducts European divisions.Between April 2004 and May 2008 he has been responsible for two significant acquisitions in Europe and has been focused on improving the return the business makes in Europe.
In May 2008 Graeme was appointed President World wide Distribution with a brief to focus on growth and delivering Return on Working Capital goals through a series of global initiatives and through geography specific plans and execution. In this role he is responsible for around $3,600 million revenues supported by 1,700 staff.
