This significant milestone in the company’s 20-year history is representative of Bell Micro’s long-standing commitment to supplying the IT industry with the components needed to meet the ever-growing worldwide demand. Now more than ever, Bell Micro is dedicated to maintaining its position as a global, storage-focused distribution leader.

Bell Micro would like to thank its employees and suppliers for their meaningful contribution to the achievement of this goal. Given the explosive growth of the storage market, Bell Micro also wishes to recognize the enduring relationships we enjoy with all major hard drive manufacturers.

An Integral Part of the Evolution

Hard disk sales have skyrocketed since Bell Micro’s founding in 1987, reaching volumes of 90 million in 1996 and 277 million in 2005. As hard disk technology has evolved – through increased capacity, decreased size, and proliferation throughout businesses and homes worldwide – Bell Micro’s storage business growth has kept pace. We now ship 35% of all hard drives sold through the channel in the U.S.

Looking Ahead to 100 Million

As Bell Micro celebrates this momentous occasion in 2006, the hard drive market continues to thrive. Bell Micro is on track to sell its 100 millionth drive within the next four years. Digital entertainment, data archiving, and other factors continue to drive the dramatic growth in the global storage market, and Bell Micro pledges to be an integral part of this continued evolution in the marketplace.
